EXCELLENT CONDITION LINCOLN HEAD CENT COLLECTION 1909 to 1940 Inclusive Number One No. 9004 Victor D. Brenner designed the Lincoln cent. On some of the 1909 issues his initials appear at the bottom on the reverse side. They were removed that year, creating two varieties for each of the two mints in 1909. The initials VDB were restored in 1918. This time the letters were placed inconspicuously beneath the shoulder of Lincoln on the obverse side. The letter below the date on the coin indicates the mint: D for Denver and S for San Francisco; no letter, Philadelphia. Below each opening is shown the quantity minted. No coins are included. This official Whitman Coin Folder is in excellent condition with some fading due to age. Please see all photos for details.
